With the strongest Right to Farm law in the nation, Michigan is poised to advance agriculture at every level - from CAFOs on down to traditional farms, small rural farms, residential farms, and urban farms. Some of these opportunities are currently at risk, however, as the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) promotes changes to a regulatory document under their control - the GAAMPS - in new ways to actively restrict agricultural rights to the vast majority of Michigan residents.  This website is a resource-rich response to proposed changes to Right to Farm protection in Michigan, aimed at providing the kind of background information required to engage in understanding what is happening and what is at stake.  Each image represents one of the players in the current debate; clicking on any image will return a new page  with links to dozens of government and media documents that each tell a different part of the ongoing Right to Farm story in Michigan.
